Robot Home-Building

BY: Bianca King

As we discussed in class many moons ago, about the future. New technology has designed a robot to build a house in the span of three days. The company is based in Australia by the name of Fastbrick Robotics.

The robot name is Hadrian X after the Roman Emperor Hadrian famous for the wall of fame. This robot is coming to disrupt the home building industry by removing many people from jobs. Hadrian X can lay 1,000 bricks per hour. The robot must have directions from 3-D layout structure to calculate the location and size of each brick.

  1. This is a great blog post and I'm excited to see what we can do with this. This may disrupt a whole market within itself. With labor costs being down from building houses this way, the cost of living, rent and mortgage may decrease also. This seems like it will be a very beneficial concept for the future.

  3. I think the concept of Hadrian X is innovative and will help decrease time in the production process but the longevity of it will hurt the economy. I say this because it will replace people, people with technical skills. So yes it being a cool invention will it benefit humanity if its taking jobs.
